Our qualified teachers and parents work together to provide a safe, nurturing, educational experience that embraces diversity and prepares children for elementary school. In addition to being Nationally Accredited and State Licensed, Annandale Cooperative Preschool is also affiliated with the Virginia Cooperative Preschool Council, the State of Virginia Department of Social Services, and the Parent Cooperative Preschools International.

In 2010, Annandale Cooperative Preschool was selected as one of the best preschools in Northern Virginia by Northern Virginia Magazine. In fact, our school received the second highest grade of all 33 schools listed for Fairfax County. This is in no small part due to the dedication of our teachers, parents, and staff.

Annandale Cooperative Preschool is Nickelodeon's 2009 Parents' Pick for BEST Washington, DC Preschool! Thank you for your support! We are thrilled to receive this honor, and even more delighted that it comes on the heels of our earning re-accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals. Sue Hewitt became the first teacher representative to VCPC board as such was sent as Virginia representative to PCPI (Parent Cooperative Preschools International) to annual conference in Victoria , BC

Parent Cooperative Preschools International District Awards
Anne Foster, Director, lobbied for revision of new State Licensing Standards for the continuing education requirements for co-oping parents vs degreed teachers.
